Announcing The Master Of Suspense Blogathon

I think it’s high time that we had another Blogathon. This time I’m inviting you all to join me to celebrate the work of the Master of Suspense, Mr. Alfred Hitchcock.

For the purposes of this event you can write about any of Hitchcock’s films, his British films versus his American ones, his series Alfred Hitchcock Presents(individual episodes or the series as a whole), the themes and styles present in his work, favourite Hitchcock characters and couples, Favourite and Best of lists of his films and episodes etc.

The Blogathon will be held on the 29th(to coincide with the anniversary of Hitchcock’s death in 1980) and 30th of April, 2023. Due to the vast amount of titles and subjects available to you for this I won’t be allowing duplicates for film reviews. I will however allow duplicates if some of you wish to write about Alfred Hitchcock Presents. It’s fine to discuss films and episodes already claimed by someone else if you’re doing so as part of Favourite or Best of lists and articles though.

You can submit up to two articles/reviews each if you wish to do so.Please publish your entries on or before the 29th and 30th of April. Please let me know as soon as you can if you’re going to be late or can no longer take part. Please let me know what you want to write about and then take one of the banners and place it on your site to help promote the event. Check the list below to see who is writing about what. Happy writing and happy viewing!

  1. So, I’m currently doing an Oscars series of posts on my blog throughout all of 2023, so could I talk about Hitchcock’s five Oscar nominations, who he lost to and why, etc?

  2. Hi Maddy. I’m such a goose! I have stuffed up and didn’t realise I wrote a separate article on Rear Window three years ago which means it doesn’t qualify for your Blogathon. If that’s ok I’ve written another piece on Saboteur and in the middle of editing etc. Is that ok?
